안녕하세요 🙂 Hello from Kim’s Dental!

Thanks for visiting our Website to know more about our implants.

Kim’s Dental Clinic has just been awarded for Singapore’s Top Straumann BLX cases Infinite award for 2023!

What’s the difference between Korean and Switzerland Implants?

Korean Implants are for budget. Swiss has harder metal and more well researched. For us, we use Switzerland latest series Straumann BLX.

Prices

Prices are before Medisave deduction. Each Korean implant is $1,250. Each Swiss implant is $2,350. This means Korean implants are cashless from Medisave. Switzerland will need a top-up of cash $1,100-$1,400 per tooth after Medisave deduction of $950-$1,250 per tooth.

Prices are nett and inclusive of 9% GST (Marine Parade Branch).

Our implant consultation is FOC, as not all cases can proceed with implants.

Workflow for Implant

The workflow for implants consists of the following steps, which can vary depending on your condition. Here’s a general overview of the process:

  1. Initial Consultation: Clinical examination and discuss your goals. X-rays or 3D scans will be conducted to assess bone structure.
  2. Treatment Planning: Based on the results, a treatment plan will be created. This plan includes the type of implant, the number of implants needed, and any additional procedures (like bone grafting) necessary to prepare the jawbone.
  3. Preparation: If required, preparatory procedures such as bone grafting or sinus lifts are performed to ensure sufficient bone volume and stability for the implant.
  4. Implant Placement: The dental implant is surgically placed into the jawbone under local anaesthesia. The gum tissue is then secured over the implant to promote healing.
  5. Healing Period: Osseointegration occurs during this time, where the bone grows around the implant, providing stability. The process usually takes 2 to 6 months.
  6. Abutment Placement: Once healing is complete, an abutment (a connector piece) is attached to the implant. This may involve a second minor surgery to expose the implant if a flap was created during the initial placement.
  7. Final Restoration: After the gums heal around the abutment, impressions are taken to create the custom prosthetic (crown, bridge). The final restoration is then placed with a new abutment.
  8. Follow-up Care: Regular follow-up appointments are necessary to monitor the health of the implant and surrounding tissues. Proper oral hygeine and care instructions are provided to maintain the longevity of the implant.
